Manual Machinist

VELOCITY MACHINING & WELDING INC. in Dartmouth, NS

Minimum 5 years’ experience NOC 72100
Accurately set up and operate a variety of machine tools including manual lathes and manual mills to manufacture, modify, and repair metal products.
Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
Control quality during the machining process and make changes as necessary to avoid errors
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Skill, dexterity, and ability to monitor the machines during the machining process.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines and tools to provide optimum operations efficiency
Experience in repair work an asset

Schedule:
8.5 hour shift plus possible overtime

Monday to Friday
7:30 am to 4:30pm
